Black Box Revelation was the winning entry in a competition to design a multi-purpose space on the Trailerpark Festival in Copenhagen. The only restriction in the brief was that the design had to based around a caravan and that the theme of the construction was to be ‘night’
The installation was among the most popular spots on the festival. It added a different scale to the festival and brought people closer together. People really appreciated having a space where they could express themselves through DJing and drawing on the blackboard walls, and it was easier to get in touch with other festival guests. The installation has been widely published and included in books from Gestalten (Going Public, 2012) and Birkhäuser (Designing Interior Architecture, 2013) as well as magazines and online blogs like FrameWeb, WeHeart and IDoArt.
Everything seems possible when the darkness of the night embraces you - Black Box Revelation brought the nighttime experience to the Trailerpark Festival even when the sun was shining!
